ROATAN FISHING TOURNAMENT
Roatan's International Tournament has grown in popularity and prestige. It's grown in popularity because it is a catch and release tournament which has proven to yield large catches year over year as fish have the opportunity to grow older and large over the years. The tournament has grown in prestige through an ongoing relationship with the IGFA, Billfish Foundation.

ROATAN FISHING TOURNAMENT
Motofest brings together well over 300 motorcycles from all over Central America. There are high hopes for this year's event, and some speculate it will be the largest Roatan has ever seen. Motorcycles will get to the island via the Galaxy Ferry. These motorcycles will come from Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, Belize, El Salvador, and from our very own Honduras.
Roatan Freediving Championship
Just a few swim strokes away from white sandy beaches you'll find deep blue waters and a few athletes who test their limits agains the oceans deptsh. Join us this year as we support athletes from all over the world push the limits of human endurance.
The Great Annual Fish Count (GAFC)
CoCo View Resort, Roatan has hosted the GAFC event for 11 years now. The event takes up the entire month of July. The seminar includes targeting of common fish families types (Parrotfish, Angelfish, Butterflyfish, Wrasses, and so on as well as an introduction to basic fish ID. There are daily contest and prizes for participants. There are evening event seminars as well.
SYNCRO SOL EVENT
You heard it right. Roatan has an annual synchronized swimming event. In the article, we'll provide you with details about the event as we know them. If new information surfaces, we'll bring it to you just as quickly as we can. The annual Syco Sol event provides a nice alternative to other events on the Island of Roatan.
Roatan Electronic Experience Festival
Big French Key will host this year's Annual Electronic Music Festival. You will experience continuous music from sunset to sunrise, delivered by some of the most prominent regional DJs and headlining international guest DJs.
Annual Celebration of the Garifuna & Guifity! (Spring Break)
A central part of the celebrations and formalities include a long march, by foot and boat, all along the bay and into Punta Gorda. The march celebrates both the arrival of the Garifuna and their new-founded freedom as they escaped centuries of slavery under Spanish & British Rule.
The aim of the Roatán Marine Park is to empower the local community to thrive sustainably alongside our ecosystems treasured throughout the nation and worldwide. Our organization was formed in 2005 by a group of dive operators and local businesses united in an effort to protect Roatán’s fragile coral reefs and local ecosystems
Join Waves Art Gallery for Jen Irias exhibit. It will feature art pieces with ocean inspired imagery. All art pieces will be a combination of acrylic on canvas and mixed media. Jen Irias states her inspiration as “an awakening to a fleeting reality that is activated when seeing the sea.”
Los Sueños ("The Dreams") is situated on 12 acres in Flowers Bay and includes space for nearly 100 affordable single family and duplex homes. Plans include park space, a cultural center, library and computer center. Currently, Los Sueños is home to a school, church and multi-use sports court.
