Caribbean Cup 2025 in Roatan: Freediving Competition
Since its inaugural edition in 2013, the Caribbean Cup has grown into one of the world’s premier freediving competitions. Each year, it draws elite athletes, world record holders, seasoned safety teams, and internationally certified judges to the idyllic shores of Roatan, Honduras. A World-Class Freediving Competition
From May 27 to 31, Roatan will once again welcome top freedivers from around the globe to compete in four major disciplines:
CWT (Constant Weight with Fins)
CWTB (Constant Weight with Bifins)
CNF (Constant Weight without Fins)
FIM (Free Immersion)
In these events, athletes descend to astonishing depths on a single breath of air, relying solely on their training, mental focus, and connection with the ocean. Venue: San Simon Beach Club, West Bay
The official headquarters for the event is the San Simon Beach Club, located at the luxurious Mayan Princess Resort in West Bay. This venue offers the perfect blend of functionality and Caribbean charm, serving as the logistical heart of the competition.

Just 3 minutes by boat from shore, the dive site is strategically located over a large sandy patch at a depth of 189 meters (620 feet). Two permanent moorings anchor the competition platforms and support boats.

“Queen Victoria” 60-ft catamaran with shaded seating, showers, bar, and bathrooms for athletes and guests
Designated snorkeling area for surface spectators
Transfer boat for up to 20 people operating continuously between the shore and dive site

6 experienced safety divers per competition line
Deep safety diver with underwater scooter
1 medic stationed per line
Counterweight system (2+ m/s) for rapid ascent
High-resolution sonar for live monitoring
Fully equipped ambulance onsite, provided by Alert International Rescue
Emergency medical clinic just 200 meters from HQ
Hyperbaric chamber and advanced medical center 15 minutes away
